*Health and Nutrition
Health and Nutrition Workshop was one of the proposed topics from the focal Point, MSRI has reached out to Dr Goh to give our Refugee community a session about the importance that food and nutrition has on our lives. This session was held on the 19th April 2022 and we had 23 participants from different communities and different age ranges.
This workshop covered about:
-The importance of Nutrition as prevention of dreaded diseases.
-Learning how to prepare healthy meals from limited resources.
*Mental Health Workshop
Mental Health Workshop was held on 23 April 2022, this was the first Workshop Under WAGAR project that included on male into the capacity building training. This workshop was intended to raise awareness and provide safe space for Refugee men where they can share their struggles, trumas also learn and understand about their mental health. We had 35 participants Part I, II & IV .
The session covered topics such as:
-The Multiple Dimensions Of Gender Stereotypes.
-View on gender from the society and the community we live in
-Discussion between Men and Women on their beliefs and understanding of gender roles.
*Parents with Purpose Training
Parent with purpose training was an ongoing series of workshops that started on 28 June and ended 27 July, Dr. Rozaina has sessions with our WAGAR participants once a week for weeks. It was one of highly anticipated workshops so far, the participants enjoyed and have given great feedback.
Here are topics that was covered in the training:
-A Better Me, A Better Parent.
-Managing Parental Emotions, strategies and Techniques.
-Formula for Successful Relationship.
